2nd edition coming
The first edition of Marion has all but sold out so I am going to a second edition. The new edition will be softcover and therefore considerably cheaper. It will contain a few minor changes, a new photo of Ethel, Marion’s maid at Balfour, and will correct some typos that slipped through the net first time around.
I hope to have it available in the next couple of months. Stay tuned.
This site is about the life of Marion Oak Sticht (nee Stage), the subject of my novel “Marion.” Marion was the wife of Robert Carl Sticht, the American metallurgist whose genius made the copper mine at Queenstown, Tasmania viable. The Stichts came to the Mt Lyell field from Colorado in 1895, before Queenstown existed. They ended up spending the rest of their lives there – though not by choice. Brett Martin
